I almost didn’t take any pictures today. In a rush I decided to show everyone what it’s like looking through the viewfinder of a TLR. Most TLRs have a waist level viewfinder in which the user looks down into the camera as opposed to eye level. The viewfinder is huge but the downside to these viewfinders is that the image is reversed horizontally. It can get annoying when you’re trying to compose an image. After the shot is composed you have to focus. TLRs come with a popup magnifier to look through for precise focusing. It’s extremely fun to use a TLR. If anyone wants to get into TLRs Yashicas are a good place to start. Remember it’s a medium format film camera so it’s larger than the film you are used to seeing. If you have any question feel free to ask me!

I went to a Filipino restaurant in Woodside last night. I have to say it was definitely one of the best ones I have been to. It is a little more than the other ones I have dined at but it was well worth it. The name is Payag and it’s located on 52nd st and Roosevelt. They had a live performer, Eric Celerio. An amazing guitar and piano player and I do mean AMAZING. He can play any tune you request, awesome.
But back to the food. Their lechon was one of the best I’ve ever had and they removed the bones for you! So juicy and fatty. Gaaaaaah. However, the best thing there was definitely the halo-halos. They cost $10 but it can feed two people. Even though I would eat it all for myself. It was the best halo-halo I ever had in my life I kid you not. I’m definitely coming back here again, SOON. I hope Eric’s playing again. xD

I made a DIY Light Box for fun today. A lot better than my other attempt. It’s simply a cardboard box with cut out sides and top covered with white paper. It cost me $0 because I had the materials just lying around. Lawl.
